Each year, a United States organization, the Ayn Rand
Institute (ARI) awards more than US$95,000 in prizes to more than 645 students who distinguish
themselves in high school essay contests on Anthem, The Fountainhead and
Atlas Shrugged. Since 1986 more than 190,000 students have entered these contests, and
ARI has awarded more than US$775,000 in prizes. ARI Canada has arranged for Canadian students to
participate in these worldwide essay contests.
